Because of the many stops along the way, letters and packages sent to our Compassion International children need to be sent early enough to allow two to three month to travel. (You can find out why it takes this long in this post: Letter Writing 101)
If you plan to send a Christmas card or some goodies to your sponsored child’s family, you might want to start putting some thought into doing that very soon!
Through Compassion International, we are allowed to send flat, paper or cardstock items that fit within these requirements.
Because of strict mailing and customs regulations in the various countries where Compassion works, we cannot send our field offices items that exceed 8-1/2" x 11" and 1/4" thick.
Even with these mailing restrictions, we can get creative and send many neat items to our beloved Compassion children.
In years past, I have sent a variety of cute goodies for Christmas.

Stained Glass Nativity Coloring Pages
Most of the things from the Oriental Trading Company come in sets of a dozen, so if you have less than 12 sponsor children, you can send extras along and ask your child to share!
