~The sun has risen on a Saturday full of promise. I spent a few moments outside this morning and soaked in the sound of the birds serenading each other. There is something in that music that truly soothes my soul.
~The roller coaster of the last few weeks is slowing down and it is becoming easier to think straight. In one day, our family learned of the unexpected death of a family member, the serious injuries suffered by another in a motorcycle accident and the need to walk away from someone else bringing drama and chaos. Through the following days when we processed everything, I couldn’t help but wonder how we managed to get through tough times before we had a Faith to lean on.
~In the midst of overwhelming times, God is so good to show us love and support through friends, family and His presence. After church last Sunday, we came outside to find this gorgeous polyphemus moth.
The stunning beauty left me feeling in awe of our Creator God.
~I will also share this picture, which happened to rack up the most comments and likes of any picture I’ve ever posted to my personal Facebook account. I may contain more “cute” than the average person can handle!
~Yesterday, I spent some time trying to work on a new website for my husband’s business, Anchor Beam Construction. Design is not necessarily my strong point, but I was happy with how easy the SnapPages website made it for a non-techy like me to customize and add information. (Feel free to check out the site, but it is under construction at the moment!)
~I was thrilled to hear that last month, the U.S. Compassion International office experienced its highest number of new sponsorship acquisitions. In May, 18,834 sponsorships were started. Isn’t that just wonderful? Did you start a new sponsorship last month and contribute to that number?
~We did not receive any letters from our Compassion sponsor children last week, but I did write to each of the kids and told them about a visit to the zoo with our friends. I also shared some of what we are learning in the book of Daniel in church and the book of John in Bible study.
~I am looking for some guest post submissions for Blogging From The Boonies. Bloggers and non-bloggers alike are welcome to send me a post or your ideas for a post and I will consider sharing it here. Guest posting gives you an opportunity to share your thoughts on a different platform and also possibly gain some traffic back to your blog as well. If you are interested, please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org
After sharing a few snippets from our past weeks, I need to get started on this day! I hope that you all have a wonderful weekend!
