Yesterday was the first day that I have actually put stock into the possibility of my dream of going to Ghana becoming a reality. All day, I felt as if I was in a daze, my thoughts wandering to lessons learned over the course of the last few weeks and thinking about the details involved in traveling to Africa. I spent a lot more time deep in thought and in prayer.
In the afternoon, I had to run into town and I stopped at the Post Office to pick up an application for a Passport. I was actually a little shaky as I did this, knowing that I was taking a step of faith.
When I came home, I went through some emails and then started dinner. I sat down to work on filling in the application. Halfway through, I heard the familiar tone from my computer notifying me of new emails. I glanced over to see am email with the title “Passport Pledge”. Clicking it, I found an amazing Paypal donation that will cover the full cost of getting my Passport!
After I picked my jaw up off of the table, tears came to my eyes. Gratitude for my wonderful friend and tingles over the impeccable timing.
I don’t think for one second that the timing was a coincidence.
I am in awe. Moment by moment, my perception of going to Africa turns from a “what if I go” to a “when I go”.
Truthfully, I am pretty emotional to see how God is already working in my life. Thank you, Lord!
And, thank you to all of you who are reading, praying and supporting me. I have said it before, but I want you all to know how thankful I am for your comments and support.
I’ll keep you all posted as my journey to Ghana continues!
