As I mentioned in yesterday’s post, I was blessed to have a friend offer to pick me up from the airport. The thought of catching a cab to my hotel made me a little nervous, having never been in one before. So, when my friend Sherry told me she would be happy to pick me up at the airport, I was thrilled.
I came to know Sherry on the OurCompassion website. OurCompassion is a social networking site that is geared for those who sponsor a child through Compassion International. I have been a part of the site for a while now, but initially I wondered if I had the time and effort to keep up with another social networking site. I signed up anyway, being a new sponsor and being hungry for as much information as I could find on CI.
What I found on OC was a group of dedicated and passionate sponsors. Through the “Journals” section of the site, I found myself learning a lot and becoming inspired. I know many sponsors who haven’t checked out OC, so I really want to spread the word that it is a wonderful website for anyone who may be looking for encouragement and a place of fellowship. That is my plug for the one website that has most impacted my ministry as a sponsor.
(I am working on a post for Compassion’s Blog about OurCompassion, so look for it in the future!)
Next, a giveaway! While at the GMC in Colorado, I spent some time in the gift shop and bought this for my husband:
So, up for grabs is one 100% cotton charcoal colored cap with black embroidery! If you’d like to enter to win, there are a few different ways to do that!

2. Share one of my Most Popular Posts on a social networking site. Come back and tell me which post and which site. Worth ONE entry.
3. Share the link to Compassion International on a social networking site and also tell your friends a little about your sponsorship experience. Come back and leave a comment sharing what you said. Worth ONE entry.
